Kids don't Tri this at home

This morning some of the Sugar Mamas (Ursula,Amy,Kelly,Martha,Anna and me) and Sugar Papas (Liam, Jorge and the Sugar Godfather Philip) took the trek to Conroe to do some kick your butt kind of riding. Most of the group decided to ride from the Walmart conroe to Richards and make the loop back for a respectable 50 miler. But, as many group rides go, there was a flat situation shortly into the ride. Not to worry, Jorge did a quick change, and we were on our way again. Riding while cell phone? Could this be outlawed? I had to do it, notwithstanding the imminent danger it posed to my ugh...my LIFE. (Eye on the road, eye on the Road, "ooh, check out Philip's ass?...eye on the road...) A line of sugars riding the country roads. Not exactly Rockwellian, but you get the picture. After six Sugars made the turnaround, Sugar Mamas Kelly and I went our our way to Anderson, heading for the hills. But about 45 miles in, Kelly got the Sugar sickies so we headed back so cut the century ride short. I tried to persuade Kelly to stay put, I would ride to the car and get her. But like the tri diva stud she is, she toughed it out and we were on our way back. 75ish? Not bad for a day's work. See Liam doing the "Sugar Hustle" Tri commune update: Eight guests showed up tonight for some pizza and laughs. A big thanks to our commune regular Ryan Korsgard for the feed. Glad to report, no debauchery tonight.

And finally... a MAJOR congrats to Todd Albright for not just completing, but smokin his way through his second ironman, Ironman Austria. Many of you know that Albright could barely run a mile and half back in the days. When asked what was his secret to a successful race, Albright lent some useful nutrition advice:

Night before race hydration? Two beers and a scotch

Post Race drink: well, lots of drinking.... hey it's Europe!

Take a look at this stud's times!
